Blue Cave
(Alonissos Island)
Blue Cave (North-East Coast, Alonissos)
Located on the wild and rocky northeastern coast of Alonissos, between the bays of Steni Vala and Gerakas, the Blue Cave is a natural masterpiece. Accessible only by boat, this sea cave is famous for the dazzling, electric blue colour of its waters, created by the sunlight reflecting off the white seabed.
The Experience: Don’t just look at it—dive in! The water inside the cave is incredibly clear and deep, offering a surreal swimming experience. It is also a fantastic spot for snorkelling, as the rock formations beneath the surface are as dramatic as those above. It’s a highlight of the Marine Park that you have to feel to believe.
The Action: We drop anchor right at the mouth of the cave. This is the ultimate spot to launch the SUP boards. Paddle slowly into the heart of the cavern where the ceiling rises high above you and the water glows with an otherworldly blue light.
